I feel it only right to introduce myself by referring to my official Indaba Music page to illustrate who I am musically at this point in time - and also kick off this blog with as little effort as possible but as effectively as possible. Which just happens to be my style completley :) Here goes...
My shortened musical evolution from as far back as I remember features mainstream pop, my discovery of the film 'Yellow Submarine' and an obsession with the Blue Meanies - and an inevitable level of influence from the Beatles as a result. This branched out into Nik Kershaw, Duran Duran, David Bowie, which somehow resulted in an appreciation of the Pet Shop Boys - the early days before in my opinion the songs started going doowwwnhill quickly.
This merged with a new appreciation of the sounds of Def Leppard, which was closely followed by Extreme. At college I inevitably moved onto grunge in the form of Stone Temple Pilots - Plush got me hooked.
Pearl Jam, Metallica, Faith No More and Soundgarden caught my attention more and more... this led to the Prodigy, Faithless and Apollo 440. Faithless more than lent itself to Trance music - so then I got into Euphoric dance and trance for a few years too.
As a result I think I've ended up with quite an eclectic music brain. I like raw, dirty riffs... I like live and acoustic tracks, I like polished pop, I like polished dance with seamless production. I like dreamy exotic vocals (Sarah McLachlan) and sweeping synth noises sometimes mashed in with whatever else works.
There aren't many musical forms I avoid - other than Hip Hop style R'n'B or Jazz - although one or two Jazz artists I've heard, (Norah Jones for one), I find easier to listen to than others.
More recent influences would be Lady GaGa, Origa (Vocalist for the Ghost in the Shell series' theme music) and Adam Nickey (An up and coming Paul Van Dyk in my opinion - awesome tunes - especially Callista, which blew me away).
So far people have compared my style of music production/remixing to - The 80's in general, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242... I will add to this list as I get more feedback...

To round off the first post, it seems fitting to attach a history of my remixes so far. The only one that isn't in sequential order is Linkin Park's 'The Catalyst' which should really be about number 9 in the list...here goes...
