11TroniX Spotlight - MILAN
Another popular artist on 11TroniX, Milan (James Tapping) showed up on my radar in the Spring of 2016, via an electronic music based social network group.
My aim initially was to prompt a bit of increased interaction and interest in the groups (holding the 'independent music only' XRP Radio flag), by inviting artists to share their tunes in the thread I'd started. As a result, several new people registered as artists with XRP Radio, and their tunes shortly followed - allowing me to get them into the playlist for the shows that followed. Milan was one of these artists, and he has been a regular contributor to the show and the station as a whole ever since.
So far, the tracks 'Miracle (Take my heart)', 'Hello Beautiful' (GX Remix) and the upcoming release of 'Let Us Go' have made the biggest splashes on 11TroniX - but nearly all of the other submissions have also made their way into the show playlists.
“Miracle(Take my heart)” and “The Hardest Thing I’ve Ever done” along with “Let us go” and “Hello Beautiful” and “Don’t say goodbye “ were recently chosen by the BBC introducing team in the UK for airplay on a local BBC radio station (BBC Radio Norfolk)
'Let Us Go' is due for release on 12th August 2016, and to coincide with this, Milan is giving away a free copy of the new album 'Empathic' to a randomly selected winner who can answer the following QUESTION:
IN WHICH FRENCH TOWN DOES THE ARTIST MILAN LIVE?
Send answers to milanmusicuk@gmail.com before 12th August to enter.
'Let Us Go' will also feature in this week's (2nd August) edition of 11TroniX, live on XRP Radio.
Hope to see you electro-heads in the chat box.

Greatest hits edition of 11TroniX
This week I've decided to buck the recent trend, and go with some of the cream of the crop so far, since 11TroniX began in October 2015. This is based mainly on the total number of plays on the show for track and artist alike, since this period.
This week's tracks start from an earlier period of 2011 and become more recent as the playlist progresses.
As a new twist, I am looking to engage listeners and artists alike, by including links to the official XRP Radio track listings for each. This makes it easier for any registered user to VOTE for, and BUY any of the tracks.
If the track or artist is not featured in the store, there will not be a vote link available, however.
When artists and listeners combine forces, special things happen like collaborations and remixes. New fans emerge and link sharing happens. This is the life blood of independent music, so come and register, listen, interact, share and add to the collective XRP snowball effect. ;)
Almost full track listing below - room for new additions as always.

14. Chasjam Feat. Biim Frischenfeldt - Lifetime
15. Filth + Glitter - Flow [People Theatre's Foretaste Mix - Radio Edit]

11TroniX Spotlight - EGO PUNKS
As this week's show is kicking off with a track by this lovely lot, I thought I'd share a bit about them via my musical buddy/collaborator Paul Faulkner (Wainscott/Luna/Komatoze).
We will start the show with the track 'Heaven Closed', and it will be the Luna remix - featuring the vocal talents of Elisha Moses.
I will now fill you in with some of the information Paul was able to give me on the track, and the associated artists:
"I don't know much about them other than that I had a brief connection with them some years ago on MySpace but they went under a different name then. Apparently Paul Oakenfold supported their original instrumental mix!"
As for Elesha; Well for quite a while after remixing this song, I had no idea who she was by name but then I heard that she was going to be on 'The Voice' as part of a duo.
I then discovered that she was on The X Factor in 2010, and that I remembered her on there. She very nearly made it onto the live shows!"
Ego Punks' Stevie Vega & Jay Marshall are a trance production duo from the UK. They have worked with EDM labels: Tactal Hots, Deepmoon, Nu-Communicate, Only Trance records. Based in Milton Keynes.
11TroniX will again be occurring at 11pm UK time on www.xrpradio.co.uk - jump on as a guest to listen and view the chatbox insanity, or register and contribute to it :)
Hope to see you later,
Daz

11TroniX artist spotlight - Wainscott
Well, I think it was established in a chat yesterday that I stumbled upon the music of Wainscott approximately 5 or 6 years ago, via the old incarnation of 'MySpace'. I played a couple of his tunes and to my memory, observed that to my ears he had a sound not unlike that of Paul Van Dyk, and that I very much enjoyed the music. I can't remember how much of my own music I'd posted on my profile at that time, but it could well have been a combination of old Ejay creations, and a few new remixes from the collaboration site 'Indaba Music'. For the record, I highly recommend the site for any budding remixers out there!
In addition to the discography that will be mentioned below, newer track additions include remixes for Filth + Glitch in the form of 'Improvise' and 'Flow' - which I have also remixed.
Right, back to the artist.
Born in London and Kent raised, Paul Faulkner carries the artist name 'Wainscott' (his house music identity) also makes Trance music under the tag 'Luna'. He also has a chillout music tag of 'Komatoze'.
During his time in music thus far, Paul has been associated with 14 different electronic labels, via a combination of his original tracks and remixes. Wainscott is the name of a village near where he lives. For some reason he liked the name so he borrowed it! He is by his own admission, not a DJ and says the DJ/club world is not really where he comes from. His interest originally was more with pop music in the late 80's which eventually lead to an interest in dance music and electronic music in general.
Until just recently, Paul has almost exclusively used hardware to create his sounds - which I feel is a rarity these days, with his main piece of equipment being an Akai MPC1000 sampler.
He learned to play the piano from the age of 6-12 but got bored of just playing classical music alone, and needed to branch out. He also trained in musical theatre at Dartford College, where as well as composing original music he also played keyboards in shows such as 'Pinocchio' and 'Sweeney Todd'. He even got to program and perform techno music in one show!
He has an apparently rare talent - in being able to tell what key(s) a song or piece of music is in just by listening to it. If someone plays or sings any note, he can say instantly what it is. He can also stretch to chords, as long as they're not too complex.
As far as his own tastes go, Paul likes pop music just as long as it's well conceived and delivered. He don't care who's written or produced it, or who's sung it. He won't dislike a song, artist or band just on principle, as to him that is pointless!
His musical influences include: Axwell, Eric Prydz, Chromeo, Coldcut, Beatmasters, Inner City, Sueno Latino, Stock/Aitken/Waterman, Harding/Curnow, Pete Hammond, D Mob, Njoi, Shades Of Rhythm, K Klass, Seamus Haji, Calvin Harris, Junior Jack, Lil Louis, Congress, Black Box, Technotronic, Ben Liebrand, Soul II Soul, Bomb Da Bass, Krush, Adeva, Yazz, Cathy Dennis, Jinny, Xpansions, Kinetic, Slam, Hyper GoGo, KLF, Utah Saints, 2 Unlimited, Capella, Carl Cox, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Benny Benassi, FPI Project, Stakka Humanoid, Altern8, Daft Punk, The Prodigy, SL2, Josh Wink, Fat Boy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Paul Hardcastle, Shalamar, Loose Ends, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, ABC, William Orbit, Trevor Horn.
